In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” City Electric Supply team members came together to build children’s bicycles to donate to a local YMCA.
NASHVILLE — During Connect 2026, City Electric Supply (CES)’s bi-annual internal company conference, 1800 team members came together to build 400 children’s bicycles, which were donated to the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Police Activities League (PAL).
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville PAL will distribute bicycles to children and families in need, helping to promote healthy lifestyles, recreational activities, and community involvement.
This initiative was organized through the company’s social impact division, CES Cares, to oversee the company’s charitable and volunteer efforts. Since its inception in 2016, CES Cares has raised over $5 million for charities on both a local and national level.
“Building 400 bikes together demonstrated the incredible power of our people when we come together to serve others. It was a meaningful team-building experience that made a significant impact on children in the Nashville community,” said CES Cares Social Impact Manager Karen Gray.
“Thanks to the wonderful folks at City Electric Supply for assembling and donating 400 bikes for students in the Nashville community. The YMCA of Middle TN’s Y-CAP program serves under-resourced students and giving them a brand-new bike of their own meant fun, fitness and freedom and an amazing way to help them have a great summer,” said Executive Director of Youth Advancement of YMCA of Middle Tennessee Bev Revo.
“The Nashville Police Activities League believes we can change and save lives through our daily interactions, programs, and a donation of this magnitude has the potential to do exactly that — one child, one ride, and one positive relationship at a time,” said Lieutenant Ryan Storm of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Police Activities League. “On behalf of Nashville PAL, Chief Drake, and the MNPD, as well as the city of Nashville, I would like to personally thank you for this amazing donation.”
