In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” Blazer Electric Supply raised $40,000 for electrical apprenticeship programs at its 14th annual golf benefit.

LARKSPUR, Colo. — On August 6, 2026, Blazer Electric Supply hosted its 14th Annual Blazer Benefit Golf Tournament at the scenic Bear Dance Golf Club in Larkspur, Colorado. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of individual participants and corporate partners, this year’s event raised $40,000 to directly support local electrical apprenticeship and training programs managed by the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC). Since its inception, the annual tournament has reached a major fundraising milestone, raising a cumulative total of $410,250 dedicated to funding student scholarships, essential tools, instructional materials, and lab equipment for trade students across the region.

Both the Southern Colorado IEC and JATC organizations serve as critical pillars for the region’s electrical trade, equipping the next generation of electricians with rigorous classroom instruction and hands-on field experience. By providing comprehensive curriculum standards, safety certifications, and technical skill-building, these programs ensure a steady pipeline of highly skilled tradespeople to meet growing commercial and residential construction demands throughout Colorado. The proceeds generated from the Blazer Benefit directly offset learning expenses for apprentices, making trade education more accessible and ensuring trainees work with modern industry equipment.

“Our industry relies heavily on the dedication and expertise of incoming trade professionals, and supporting our regional training centers is one of the best ways we can invest in the future of the electrical community,” said Trevor Blazer, President of Blazer Electric Supply. “Reaching more than $400,000 in total lifetime contributions is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, but we couldn’t do it alone. We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors, manufacturer representatives, contractors, and players who show up every year to make this event a success.”

The tournament brought together broad industry representation, with leading electrical manufacturers and sales agencies sponsoring individual holes and providing field support throughout the day. Golfers participated in a variety of fundraising challenges on the course, contributing dollars through mulligan purchases, putting contests, long-drive challenges, and a popular “Bear Claw Chipping Contest.”

Blazer Electric Supply extends a special thank you to all the 2026 corporate sponsors whose partnership made this event possible:

Master Sponsors: The Lighting Agency, Casey Bergquist, CWA / Minerallac, Eaton, Hubbell Wiring Device & Burndy, and i-Pro.

Journeyman Sponsors: Omni Cable, ASA, Electrical Lines, Halco, Illumination Systems, and MH Lighting.
