Viking Electric Announces Sales Reorganization, New Leaders

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Electrical distributor and service provider, Viking Electric, announced that the company has reorganized its executive sales leadership structure and has promoted three sales leaders to new executive leadership roles. The company has reorganized its sales structure from a regional approach to focus its sales efforts on two dominant customer segments: Contractor and Industrial.

Brett Wilson

As part of the new sales structure, the company announced Brett Wilson as its new Vice President of Contractor Sales. Brett brings nearly 30 years of industry experience and more than 13 years of progressive sales leadership roles. In Brett’s new position, he will be responsible for growing the company’s contractor business across its entire geography.

Dean Dobitz

Also, the company named Dean Dobitz as its new Vice President of Industrial Sales. Dean brings 26 years of industry experience including seven years as Viking Electric’s Twin Cities Industrial Sales Manager. In 2020, the company expanded Dean’s role to include sales engagement and leadership in the company’s western region. In Dean’s new role, he will lead the company’s industrial growth strategy across its entire footprint.

Steve Sass

In addition, the company promoted Steve Sass to the role of Director of Sales Operations. Steve began his 16-year career at Viking Electric as a sales trainee. He spent 10 years as an account manager before being named the company’s Milwaukee Industrial Sales Manager in 2017. In his new role, Steve will partner with Brett and Dean to help set the direction for the company’s sales team and identify how to better leverage the company’s tools, technology, and sales resources to support the needs of its customers.

“Our new sales structure, and our new executive sales leadership team, will allow our company to better align to our growth ambitions and our strategic initiatives,” Viking Electric President Stacy Stanslaski said. “We’re excited for the opportunity to enhance our high-performing sales organization and continue to meet our customers’ changing needs.”
