Sonepar recently announced that Van Egmond Group has joined Sonepar in the Netherlands, subject to approval from the ACM (Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets), expected to be given within the coming six weeks.
Based in the eastern part of the country, the Van Egmond Group operates through two companies: Van Egmond Elektro Groothandel, which has provided electrical products and services to industrial and electricity professionals for over 75 years, and Van Egmond Industriële Automatisering, specialized in industrial automation and control services for industrial customers for over 35 years.
The total Van Egmond Group employs 100 associates and had sales of €50 million in 2014.
This acquisition fits perfectly with Sonepar’s strategy of strengthening the position of the Group in the industrial market in the Netherlands.
