CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Van Meter Inc. announced today that it has successfully completed its purchase of Miller Electric Supply, a leading electrical distributor with locations in Dubuque and Clinton, IA. Intentions to buy the electrical distributor were announced in January.
The acquisition of Miller Electric expands Van Meter’s presence in Iowa to 14 locations.
“A key part of our growth strategy is to expand into new markets,” stated Kevin Powell, President and CEO of Van Meter. “The addition of Dubuque and Clinton locations really rounds out our service territory and creates new opportunities for us in Eastern Iowa as well as parts of Illinois and Wisconsin.”
Van Meter has experienced significant growth in recent years, diversifying and enhancing its strong electrical and automation sales divisions with offerings in lighting, utility, renewable energy, power transmission, datacomm and customized solutions.
