Video: NJ Governor Christie blasts Congress over lack of Sandy aid

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is delivering what some are calling a “brutal” take-down of Congress. It has been 66 days since Superstorm Sandy rocked the East Coast, and Congress has yet to vote on a bill that would provide financial relief for New Jersey and New York.

During a news conference on Wednesday, Christie said, “This is not a Republican or Democratic issue. Natural disasters happen in red states and blue states and states with Democratic governors and Republican governors. We respond to innocent victims of natural disasters, not as Republicans or Democrats, but as Americans. Or at least we did until last night. Last night, politics was placed before oaths to serve our citizens. For me, it was disappointing and disgusting to watch.”

Watch the video from the Huffington Post for more of Christie’s heated remarks.
