Viking Electric to Break Ground on New Facility

MADISON, Wisc. — Viking Electric will host a ground-breaking ceremony on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate its planned move to a new location and a new facility in January 2020.

The tentative floor plan of the new Madison facility includes approximately 32,000 square feet of warehouse space; 6,300 square feet of office space; and 2,500 square feet of showroom/city desk space. The plans for the warehouse include a 26-foot-high ceiling clearance, two receiving doors, five shipping doors, one overhead drive-in door for larger deliveries, and one overhead, roll-up door at Will Call for customer loadout.

Viking Electric will be the sole tenant of their new facility, which means they will be able to add larger dedicated parking spaces to better accommodate their customers’ trucks and trailers.

Terry Reister, General Manager of Viking Electric’s existing location in Madison, has been employed by Viking Electric for 12 years and will manage the new facility.

“Viking Electric has been discussing a new location for its Madison operations for a long time and we are proud to be moving forward with a new building in a new location,” Reister said. “We are thrilled about the prospects of operating out of a newer, larger facility. It will allow us to grow, expand our services, and better serve our customers in and around Madison, Wisconsin.”

The address of the new location is 5305 Femrite Drive, Madison, Wisconsin, 53718, which is just east of the company’s existing Madison location.
