Viking Electric to Expand Oshkosh Facility

OSHKOSH, Wisc. — Viking Electric announced that the company will be increasing its presence in the Oshkosh, Wisconsin market with a facility expansion project.

Viking Electric’s Oshkosh facility expansion plans include adding 9,375 square feet to the company’s existing 18,200 square feet of warehouse space. The warehouse expansion plan includes the addition of four dock doors (for a total of seven), which will allow Viking Electric to designate two dock doors for receiving and five dock doors for shipping. The increase in warehouse square footage and additional dock doors will allow the company to provide improved warehouse efficiencies and broaden its service offerings to its customers in Oshkosh.

In addition, the project includes a parking lot expansion to help improve truck flow in and out of the parking lot, which will make it easier for trucks to access the new docks. Finally, the plan includes the addition of a customer bathroom, with access from the city desk showroom floor and new carpeting in the office areas. Construction on the facility expansion will begin this summer and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

Kyle Johnson, Oshkosh General Manager, will continue to manage the facility. “This is a great opportunity for Viking Electric Oshkosh and we are excited to move forward with the expansion project,” Johnson said. “This project will help support our growth, allow us to expand our solutions, and more effectively serve our customers in the Oshkosh area.”
