Q1/12 data from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) showed 1,695MW of wind capacity installed—788 new turbines producing power in 17 states.
“No other first quarter has been as strong for the American wind power industry,” AWEA said. The total installed wind power capacity in the United States is now 48,611MW.
