Winsupply Opens New Facility in Houston

DAYTON, Ohio — Winsupply Inc. has opened a new Winsupply company in Houston serving plumbing, mechanical and industrial contractors throughout southeast Texas. Winsupply of Houston – Plumbing and Mechanical is the third new company opened by Winsupply in 2017.

“The opening of new companies like Winsupply of Houston – Plumbing and Mechanical is a significant part of our growth strategy at Winsupply,” said Roland Gordon, president and chief executive officer of Winsupply Inc. “We will continue to identify geographic locations throughout the U.S. with strong economies and opportunities for wholesale distribution. Growing sales at our existing locations and making acquisitions will also continue to be an important part of our revenue growth.”

Vince Roach is the president of the new company. He is joined by co-owner Corey Teague, vice president. Roach and Teague, along with seven other employees, have more than 60 years of combined experience in plumbing, mechanical and industrial supplies distribution.

Roach joins Winsupply after 27 years of experience in the industry. He is a “third-generation HVAC guy,” having grown up in Houston in a family involved in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning business. He started just out of high school as a licensed residential service technician, then shifted to mechanical and heavy commercial industrial contracting. Roach led contractor sales before ultimately running wholesale distribution branches in Dallas, Florida and in Houston before joining Winsupply this year.

“We’re very fortunate to have Vince and Cory and the rest of their talented team join Winsupply,” Gordon said. “They have great relationships with contractors in their market already and now have the support of a $3 billion company to help them achieve their dream of business ownership.”

In the Winsupply co-ownership business model, Winsupply Inc. has majority equity in each of its locations while the local company presidents and sometimes employees own substantial equity. Roach and Teague have each invested in equity in the company.

Roach said, “Being an owner of my own company is what separates Winsupply from everybody else. Going to work for another supply house didn’t (appeal to) me and is the reason I chose to be here. Treating this company as my own is completely different. I’ve opened branches before but this is special knowing it’s mine.”
