YESCO Supplies Products for Dakota Access Pipeline

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — YESCO Electrical Supply, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has fulfilled the supply of all lighting and switch gear used on six of the Dakota Access Pipeline Project (DAPL) terminals, marking another major milestone for the company in regards to working on large scale national and industrial accounts.

The Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) is a 1,172-mile underground state of the art pipeline extending from the Bakken/Three Forks production area in North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. The pipeline will transport domestically-produced, light, sweet crude oil from North Dakota to major refining markets in a more direct, cost-effective, safer and more environmentally responsible manner than other modes of transportation, including rail or truck. DAPL is the result of an extensive process that involved review and approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and regulators in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois, and is one of the most technologically advanced pipelines in the world.

YESCO provided comprehensive project management solutions that fit the unique customer needs to deliver reliable lighting solutions and switchgear from our trusted manufacturing partners, including Photometric reviews, submittals and advanced logistic planning. RAB Lighting and EATON supplied high efficiency LED lighting solutions (Lowbays, Wallpacks, Emergency and Exit Signs) and advanced switch gear for the Stanley, Ramberg, Epping, Trenton, Watford, Johnson terminals at the DAPL project.

YESCO also offered distribution management for this project (including product warehousing where required), working with on-site engineers, project managers and manufacturer representatives to ensure the on time and accurate deliveries that took place over a one year period. It took the work of many technically proficient employees to make this project a success. Managing a project of this size requires careful scrutiny, great attention to detail, and the trust of all parties involved. We could have not done this without the support of our outstanding employees and cooperation of the many involved.
