President Tom Naber announces NAED has joined 82 other organizations in the continued battle to permanently repeal the Estate Tax.
ST. LOUIS — The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) announces its support of the Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015. Representatives Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Sanford Bishop (D-Georgia) introduced legislation on March 3, 2015, to permanently repeal the federal estate tax to finally put an end to this punitive tax on businesses upon the death of an owner.
“Repealing the death tax will allow small business owners, including many NAED family-owned businesses, to invest more in their enterprises and less in accountants and attorneys,” said Tom Naber, NAED president/CEO. “Our members have consistently pushed for repeal of the estate tax and will forcefully advocate this legislation as it makes its way through Congress.”
According to a study by the non-partisan Tax Foundation, repeal of the estate tax will create 100,000 new jobs and boost wages by half a percent.
NAED joined 82 organizations in sending a Family Business Coalition letter of support to Congressman Brady and Congressman Bishop for introducing the Death Tax Repeal Act of 2015 (http://j.mp/1M5IRw0). NAED serves as an advisory board member with the Family Business Coalition.
NAED is the trade association for the $70+ billion electrical distribution industry. Through networking, education, research, and benchmarking, NAED helps electrical distributors increase profitability and improve the channel. NAED’s membership operates in more than 5,100 locations internationally.
