MaxLite appoints Pater to utility solutions program manager

To help match energy efficient utility lighting incentive programs across North America with the company’s extensive line of products, MaxLite® appoints Joe Pater to Utility Solutions Program Manager. Mr. Pater will report directly to Thomas Rhee, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product for MaxLite, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of the award-winning MaxLED® luminaires and lamps.

“Joe brings valuable experience within the utility rebate space and has been very successful working with key utility implementers and contractors throughout the Midwest,” said Mr. Rhee. “With a strong focus on creating real energy savings and influencing sustainable technological change, he will initiate innovative incentive programs for our extensive line of energy efficient lighting products.”

Mr. Pater will be responsible for managing MaxLite’s participation in utility rebate programs and driving new opportunities that produce energy savings for customers. He will engage utilities across North America to identify new and innovative energy saving programs that include LED outdoor and indoor lighting fixtures for commercial, industrial and residential markets. In addition, Mr. Pater will drive sales in the rebate programs by working closely with MaxLite’s sales team in the commercial and retail marketplaces.

In addition, Mr. Pater will collaborate with a strategic analysis team that supports MaxLite’s value-added rebate program with ongoing research and updates on its website, which features more than 2,000 national rebates identified by SKU and outlined with their available rebate amounts in a complete state-by-state listing of more than 100 utilities and regions.

Prior to joining MaxLite, he most recently served as Program Implementation Manager for Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation where he delivered high quality demand-side management programs for some of the largest electric and gas utilities in the Midwest. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Pater implemented a variety of energy rebate programs that helped five million residential customers achieve an energy savings of over 225 gigawatt hours in 2011.

Mr. Pater holds an MBA from the University of Maine in Orono.
