LOS ANGELES, CA — Orbit Industries President and CEO David Nikayin has announced the promotion of Aaron Jacobs to the new position of vice president of sales and marketing.
Jacobs, who joined Orbit in 2002, has held a range of sales positions at the Los Angeles-based electrical products manufacturer. He started as the Orbit outside sales rep for California’s Inland Empire and San Diego County, and was then promoted to western regional sales manager. He has been national sales manager since 2007.
“Aaron’s appointment is a major strategic move for Orbit as we continue to expand our product lines and distribution channels throughout the U.S.,” said Nikayin.
“Aaron will oversee our rapidly-growing nationwide network of sales associates, including Orbit rep firms and our in-house factory sales team,” he said.
“He will also work closely with distributors and contractors, supervising product introductions, coordinating trade show events and workshops, and providing us with insights from the field.”
Jacobs will additionally direct Orbit’s affiliations with national organizations, including NECA and NAED.
“At Orbit we are committed to driving more business to our key electrical distribution partners and also to more closely align our company with leading contractors as we expand our lines of ‘solutions-based’ products,” said Jacobs.
Jacobs has worked in the electrical industry for more than 20 years. He started with Aaron Electrical Sales, a family-owned manufacturer’s rep firm in Orange County. He is a graduate of Chapman University in southern California, and resides in Yorba Linda, CA, with his wife and daughter.Tagged with tED
