New York – ABM (NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, announced that its subsidiary ABM Franchising Group, LLC, has signed a franchise agreement with ARC Electric Company, a leading electrical service provider in Charlotte, North Carolina. ARC Electric Company adds to ABM Franchising Group’s existing presence on the East Coast.
ABM Franchising Group, a portfolio of franchise networks that deliver mechanical and electrical service and preventive maintenance solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, consists of four franchise brands: Linc Service, GreenHomes America, TEGG, and CurrentSAFE. ARC Electric Company will operate under the CurrentSAFE franchise brand and utilize the franchise’s business model to continue delivering exceptional electrical service to their clients.

ARC Electric Company was started by Larry Harrill in the spring of 1976. When ARC Electric Company was founded, residential installation was the first primary focus. With Larry Harrill’s strong background in large commercial installations, it was only a short time before ARC began to expand into this area. Currently, residential and commercial installations are both strengths of the company.
ARC Electric Company is a family owned and operated business. Larry’s son, Chris, joined the company in 1992. Together, they worked to strengthen the solid reputation that ARC Electric Company had built in Charlotte and surrounding areas. In 2012, Larry retired from ARC Electric Company and Chris took over running the company.
