Affiliated Distributors U.S. Electrical has announced its first quarter sales for 2013 grew 4% on a same store basis to $2.9B.
“The first quarter of 2013 was challenging for many distribution entities,” said John Eggleton, AD’s President, U.S. Electrical Division. “In contrast, AD’s Affiliates grew 4% on a same store basis. Industry experts, along with full-line electrical distributors and manufacturers, expect conservative growth in 2013 in the low single digits or even flat. Our members’ expectations are greater than that and reflect continued market share growth.”
Sales for all AD Affiliates, across all AD Divisions, grew by 5% in the first quarter to $6.5 billion. AD Affiliates outgrew their markets in the quarter in every AD Division.
Doing their part for the economy, in the last three months, AD Affiliates hired 1079 new employees and opened 41 new locations.
