In the exclusive tED magazine/Baird research for 2025’s third-quarter, NAED distributors are almost evenly split on the use of AI.
Previous research results reported by tedmag.com showed revenue increases in electrical and Datacomm for the third quarter of 2025, pricing increases over the past three months, and growth expectations for 2026. 18 respondents representing more than $7 billion in revenue took part in the third quarter research.
When asked if your company is currently using any AI tools or programs, 22% said they were not, while 28% said they are actively using AI tolls across multiple areas of their business. 28% reported they are still experimenting with AI, while 22% says they have AI for specific areas, but it is not widely adopted.
When asked about integrating Ai tools into everyday workflows and the impact, the results were also spread.
11% of companies say AI tools are fully integrated into workflows, and they are significantly raising productivity. 22% say AI tools are moderately integrated, and they are helping to improve productivity, 22% says AI tools are integrated in limited ways, but they haven’t seen a significant impact on productivity, and 44% says AI tools are not integrated into workflows.
