Boston Update: NAED National Meeting

UPDATED 1:55pm Tuesday, April 16.  Latest from the Boston Marriott Copley Place:

Our team is s dedicated as ever to providing outstanding service, and taking care of the normal day-to-day needs of our valued customers, even during extenuating circumstances like these.  We are fully staffed, and are operating normally within the framework of a heightened security model.

Our hotel has operational plans in place for a wide variety of circumstances.  Security procedures and risk assessments are reviewed often, and our staff is trained to assess and respond appropriately.  We are monitoring this situation closely, and are workingn directly with the appropriate authorities.

Out of abundance of caution, we are exercising enhanced security measures.  We cannot share security plans in detail, because to do so could compromise these efforts.  However, a few visible measures currently include:  additional security staff, uniformed officers assigned by BPD, monitoring guest entrance areas, checking trunks, etc.

As background, please be aware that this incident took place a few blocks away from the hotel.  There was no direct impact on our building, and we are not aware of any injuries to guests or employees.  We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Thank you!
