Canadian electrical distributor Franklin Empire Inc. recently announced that it has acquired all operations of Cambridge, Ontario-based Electra Supply.
In addition to the Cambridge branch, the acquisition includes Electra Supply’s other Ontario locations in London and Windsor.
Franklin Empire also recently announced that it has been named the exclusive distributor of Siemens Automation and Control products for Southwestern Ontario—a transaction that is expected to close this week.
Franklin Empire is a family-owned business since 1942. The company has more than 400 employees, 12 branches in Quebec and now eight in Ontario. Franklin Empire is the largest Canadian, independently owned electrical distributor in Quebec and one of the largest in Ontario.
In a news release, the company said it is looking forward to the opportunity to present its portfolio to Electra’s customers.
Electra Supply Inc. was established in 1983 and is a member of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) and Affiliated Distributors (AD).
