CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Electrical wholesale distributor City Electric Supply (CES) has opened a second location in Corpus Christi, CES Baldwin, an area that continues to experience business growth and development. With that growth comes a need for support, and that’s what the second CES location in town hopes to do.
“Initially, we hired a new sales rep for our Corpus Christi branch. In less than two weeks, the branch was experiencing a high level of business. CES decided to divide and conquer, opening a second location to provide help to the existing Corpus Christi location to have an avenue for everyone to continue supporting customers,” said District Manager Tyler Cannon.
“When we looked at expanding business, we knew that CES Corpus Christi was one of our most consistent locations. The way customers have accepted CES into their market in that community—it was a no-brainer to open up a second location here,” said Regional Manager Nate Jefferson.
“Starting at 7 a.m. when we opened the doors, we had customers lined from the counter to the door, all day, every day,” said CES Baldwin Branch Manager Priscilla Garcia.
After realizing business in Corpus Christi was growing, the CES team took two weeks to set a plan in motion to open another location. After less than a month, the team found the building they now work in. In less than three months, CES Baldwin had everything ready to go, helping serve their customers less than eight miles up the road.
“This location is less than 15 minutes away from our other Corpus Christi store. This Baldwin branch will help split time amongst our trusting staff to help all of our customers,” said Tyler.
The existing building was an old pump supply store and had a decent-sized warehouse with racking already available. CES was able to gut the inside, put in offices, and complete renovations to fit the CES brand shortly after obtaining the building.
The former operations manager at Corpus Christi, Priscilla Garcia, will be the branch manager for the new Baldwin location. Sales Representative Mo Paradero has over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry. Operations Manager Eleazar Ordaz worked with Priscilla for several years at CES Corpus Christi and is looking forward to continuing to serve CES customers.
“CES has been excited about opening the Baldwin location from the beginning. The team we have there is very talented and tenured. We are very excited to have Priscilla running that location for us, and I am excited to see everything CES Baldwin is going to accomplish,” said Nate.
“I started as a driver for the Corpus Christi branch over 13 years ago,” said Priscilla. “I learned a lot during my time at the busy location, and I’m ready to see what the future holds here at CES Baldwin.”
