PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Cooper Lighting has recalled about 42,000 Metalux Optimized High Bay (OHB) LED Light Fixtures after identifying a potential fire hazard. The company has received nine reports of the light fixtures catching fire.
According to the recall notice issued July 2, the fixtures’ board can overheat or come into contact with the lens or nearby combustible materials, posing a fire hazard.
The recall covers Metalux Optimized High Bay LED fixtures sold in the United States. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected fixtures and contact Cooper Lighting for a free repair or replacement.
