On Tuesday, September 24, AD and IMARK officially announced their merger had been finalized, creating what is now the “AD Independent Electrical Supply Division.”
The division will have more than 700 independently owned electrical distributors with annual sales of more than $43 billion.
Paul Kennedy, the President and CEO of DSG, the current Chair for NAED, and a member of AD’s Corporate Board of Directors, joined the DistributED with tED magazine podcast with John Thompson, the President of First Electric Supply and Chairman of the IMARK Electrical Board.
Both discussed how the merger came together, what will happen to meetings and conferences for the next six months, and what the new “AD Independent Electrical Supply Division” will do for the future of the supply chain.
