Electric Supply Center hires account manager

Electric Supply Center (ESC), distributor of electrical equipment and supplies, announced that Daniel O’Toole, joined the ESC sales team.

O’Toole joins the firm as account manager, where his primary focus will be working on switchgear, lighting, and large commodity opportunities for new and existing ESC customers, as well as working on design build projects and offering value engineering options when needed.

In a news release, the company describes O’Toole as an experienced and knowledgeable leader in the electrical equipment and supplies industry. He previously served on the sales teams at Granite City Electrical Supply and Graybar. During his five years at Granite City Electric, O’Toole generated millions of dollars in sales, exceeded gross profit goals, and significantly grew target accounts.

As senior outside sales representative at Graybar, O’Toole repeatedly achieved Graybar’s “Boston Best” award for continuously attaining over 100% of the gross margin goal.

“We are thrilled to have Dan join our sales team.” said Larry LaFreniere, principal of Electric Supply Center. “Given his significant industry experience and overall market knowledge, Dan will be a true asset to our team and able to add value to our growing company.”

O’Toole received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Upon graduating, O’Toole quickly rose through the ranks of the electrical distribution industry where he spent time in an inside sales role, project manager, and also a switchgear specialist.

Electric Supply Center is an independently owned and operated distributor of electrical equipment and supplies. ESC was purchased by Larry LaFreniere in 1997 and is headquartered in Burlington, Mass.
