Frost Supply Receives Prestigious Government Contractor Award

St. Louis, MO — On November 15th, DLA Land and Maritime Commander, Navy Rear Adm. David R. Pimpo presented the Recognition for Excellence Award to John MacArthur of Frost Supply at a special ceremony at the Defense Supply Center located in Columbus, Ohio.

“We are extremely proud to receive this award,” said Jeff Frost, Executive Vice President of Frost Supply. “It’s an amazing honor. We are glad we can provide the supplies those in our military depend on to operate at their highest level.”

The DLA Land and Maritime Award is given to only those firms recognized as supplying a product the government can use with supreme confidence. Frost Supply qualified as an Automated Best Value System nominee by meeting rigid quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Frost Supply’s past performance data was collected and translated by the ABVS into a numeric score of 99.9, qualifying for a Silver Award. In the 12 months leading up to the nomination, they had shipped over 50 contract line items, from cost-efficient electrical and lighting supplies to industrial equipment.

“Winning an award for being a best government supplier is extremely prestigious, but we won’t stop working on our end. We have an unwavering dedication to providing the tools for every job, every time, and always under budget,” added Frost.

DLA Land and Maritime is the Land and Maritime supply chain headquarters for DLA, with more than 3,000 associates in 53 locations around the world. Land and Maritime manages almost 2 million spare parts and supports more than 145,000 customers in the military services, civilian agencies and other Department of Defense organizations.

This the second consecutive year Frost Supply has been in the news after receiving an award. Last May, the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) Midwest Council awarded Frost Supply the prestigious award of Vendor of the Year.
