Family-owned HESCO of Rocky Hill, Conn. was awarded UTC Supplier Gold through Pratt & Whitney Power Systems (PWPS).
UTC Supplier Gold is the highest award UTC gives to suppliers. Only 118 of the 14,500 UTC global suppliers have reached UTC Supplier Gold.
According to a company news release, HESCO was given this honor because of the company’s high performance level over the last year.
HESCO General Manager Todd DePasquale said, “Our performance contributes to Pratt & Whitney Power Systems’ competitive advantage in the global marketplace, and that is what motivates our company… Achieving Supplier Gold means that we are a company that focuses on increasing efficiencies, reducing waste, and improving quality while lowering costs.”
Bala Balakrishna, supply chain manager fo Pratt & Whitney Power Systems said, “We’re proud that HESCO has performed at such a high level, and the entire HESCO team is certainly deserving of achieving Gold-level status.”
