Hubbell Appoints Maria Lee as Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations

SHELTON, Conn. — The Board of Directors of Hubbell Incorporated recently appointed Maria R. Lee to the position of treasurer, in addition to her current responsibilities leading corporate strategy and investor relations, effective January 1, 2016. As treasurer of Hubbell, Lee will have global responsibility for all treasury operations, including capital markets, cash management, foreign exchange risk management, pensions and insurance management. In this capacity, Lee will succeed James Biggart, who prepares to retire on December 31, 2015 after more than 30 years with Hubbell.

“Maria has made invaluable contributions in not only working with the investment community, but also in strategic planning and financial management,” commented Bill Sperry, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “As Hubbell continues to grow and prosper, her insight and vision will serve us well in the years to come.” Mr. Sperry continued, “And I’d like to thank Jim for his years of loyal and dedicated service to Hubbell and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”

Lee joined Hubbell in March 2015. Before joining the company, Lee spent six years at United Technologies Corporation in a variety of financial planning, investor relations and corporate strategy roles, most recently as Director of Investor Relations. Prior to UTC, she worked in both consulting and senior staff positions with a number of firms, including Duff & Phelps, Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. Lee earned her bachelor of arts in history from Yale University and MBA from Harvard Business School.

As Lee assumes her additional responsibilities as treasurer, Steven Beers, Director of Investor Relations, will take on a more prominent role representing Hubbell in the investment community.
