The need for Trailblazers continues, and we are asking you to join the NAED Women in Industry Forum in celebrating International Women’s Day by nominating and honoring a successful and inspiring woman in the electrical distribution industry for the NAED Women in Industry Trailblazer Award. The Trailblazer award will be presented at the 2022 Women in Industry Forum June 27 – 29, 2022 in Bonita Springs. Florida.
March commemorates Women’s History Month, with March 8 designated as International Women’s Day, celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility while bringing awareness to bias and inequality. As you take action to honor the women in your network and increase women’s visibility, nominate a woman Trailblazer who has had an exceptional impact on your career and the electrical distribution industry.
More than a dozen NAED Trailblazers have been honored since 2007 for their successful careers and noteworthy contributions to the electrical distribution including 2021 winner Joyce Blassingame, division manager of CED – Cain Division. In 2021 Blassingame highlighted the strengths of females in the industry and how more female leaders and trailblazers are needed. “Women are smart, organized, and detailed,” Blassingame told tED magazine. “They are natural multitaskers. And in many cases, they bring harmony to teams. We need talented leaders like this to shape our future, Trailblazers who will rise to the challenges and take charge with passion. They can be part of the solution to the challenges we’re facing in the fast-changing industry.”
The Trailblazer Award will be handed out at the 2022 Women in Industry Forum, the premier gathering of women across fields and career levels within the electrical distribution industry. What started as a small luncheon at the NAED National meeting now has more than 500 that come together to gain insight on professional and personal growth and celebrate their achievements. Join us June 27-29, 2022, in Bonita Springs.
Nominate and honor today an exceptional woman who has cheered you and colleagues on throughout their careers by providing notable leadership, mentorship, and opportunities for you and all women across the electrical distribution industry.
