Jack Cogwin Leads Summit’s Austin Service Center

Summit Electric Supply has hired Jack Cogwin as service center leader of its Austin, Texas location.


Cogwin has over 13 years of industrial distribution experience working for Gexpro Services, formerly General Electric Supply. After quickly working through leadership programs and developing a strong skillset in sales and project management, Cogwin took on numerous management positions. He was recently Gexpro’s global account manager in Mount Vernon, Ohio and held previous positions in Ohio and Texas as program manager, branch manager, and inventory logistics management project leader.


“I am excited to be joining the Summit family and working with the Austin team to deliver a great customer experience and become the top electrical distributor in the market,” says Cogwin.


Scott Cogan, Summit’s Southwest Region Vice President, says he’s excited Jack has joined the team and can share his experience and knowledge in industrial distribution. “He’ll be a strong asset to the Austin service center and help Summit grow within the market.”


Cogwin has a track record of strong sales and customer growth along with successful implementations of programs and new technologies that streamlined inventory management and logistics, warehouse operations, and business development. He has a Six Sigma Black Belt certification and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
