WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Legrand has announced the 2024 winners of its annual “Marketeer of the Year” Competition. The competition, consisting of Legrand’s electrical distribution partners across the United States and Canada, seeks to honor distributors for their excellence in marketing, effective use of digital marketing tools, and year-over-year sales growth. Legrand sales representatives nominate distributors based on their marketing efforts throughout the year.
“Our partners continue to raise the bar year after year with their impressive marketing programs,” said Greg Kozniewski, Legrand’s Director of Digital Marketing and Channel Enablement for the Electrical Wiring Systems division. In 2024, we had 43 entries that were a mix of traditional marketing tactics and innovative digital marketing strategies to meet the ever-evolving needs of both contractors and distributors. Effective joint marketing planning between the Legrand sales team and our distributor partners was clearly reflected in both the submissions and winning entries we received for 2024.”
In total, 11 regional “Marketeer of the Year” winners were selected; each entry was judged against others from similarly sized distributors within their specific sales region. For the second year in a row, Cooper Electric, a Sonepar Company, was awarded the grand prize of the “Best Overall Marketeer of the Year” in North America.
“In 2024, Cooper Electric’s marketing strategy holistically combined face-to-face events and activities with innovative digital initiatives to maximize reach and engagement. They provided opportunities for customers to interact hands-on with Legrand products through counter displays, product samples, counter days, customer appreciation events, in-branch events and more,” said Legrand Regional Vice President for the East Trevor Gardner. “Cooper Electric paired these efforts with impactful email marketing campaigns, social media promotions and a strong digital presence, including website updates and the Cooper Electric app. The app was an integral component of their strategy, providing easy access to Legrand products. It streamlined the purchasing path with order tracking, quote monitoring and custom list creation, further simplifying the customer experience.”
