Mayer Electric Supply’s branches in South Carolina and Nashville have been named Best Places to Work Award winners.
This marks the second time the Nashville Business Journal has recognized the company with this award. It’s also the second time Mayer’s team in Nashville has been nominated.
As part of the competition, Mayer-Nashville associates completed an online survey measuring team effectiveness, trust in senior leadership, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits and whether employees feel valued.
The award was based on the data collected in the survey.

“We work for a great company that recognizes valuable employees and is constantly working to keep us happy,” said Stacy Hill, branch manager at Mayer-Nashville. “When employees are happy and engaged in the workplace the benefits are great—productivity levels increase, customer service improves, and it also results in less turnover and better profitability,” Hill added.
Mayer Electric Supply’s branches in South Carolina were also honored with the Best Places to Work Award. This was the second time the South Carolina locations were recognized with the award.
The Best Companies Group conducted a company assessment to identify the top employers in the state. The group collects information from employers and associates and to determine the Best Places to Work Award winners.
Mayer Electric Supply is a third-generation, family-owned business. The company was founded in Birmingham, Ala. in 1930. Mayer is also a certified woman-owned business.
