Mayer Electric Supply branches in the Atlanta area have been recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) as a Top Workplace for the second year in a row.
The AJC defines a Top Workplace as an organization which provides its employees with a great place to work. The Top Workplace list recognizes and celebrates companies which should be considered the best metro Atlanta has to offer.
To earn the award, associates at the Mayer metro Atlanta locations, along with all of the businesses and organizations which competed for the recognition, were asked to complete a survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. The survey was composed of 20 statements grouped in six categories. Each category focused on items including direction conditions, execution, career, managers, and pay and benefits. The Mayer locations recognized in the award were the Mayer branch teams in Atlanta-Fulton, College Park, Conyers, Lawrenceville, Norcross, and North Cobb having a total of 141 associates.
Mayer Electric Supply is a wholesale-distributor of electrical equipment and supplies, lighting, factory automation, tools and communications. The company serves contractors, industrials, utilities, commercial businesses and institutions with new construction and maintenance components, parts, equipment and supplies. Mayer is a third-generation, family-owned business founded in Birmingham, Ala. in 1930. The company is also a certified woman-owned business. Mayer serves customers in nine southern states with 52 locations, including and over 950 associates.
