Mayer Electric Supply’s four locations in the Birmingham, Alabama area seem to have the knack at being one of the Best Places to Work. Since the first such recognition they earned in 2007, these Mayer teams have made quite a name for themselves, now having earned their 6th Best Places to Work Award.
Mayer’s CEO, Nancy Collat Goedecke shared, “It is a great honor for any Mayer location to be recognized as a best place to work. It is certainly important for the company to continue to attract the best and brightest associates and to keep our outstanding associates; one way we do this is by paying attention to the strengths and weaknesses we learn through these award competitions and other associate input methods that we utilize routinely.”
The Best Places to Work competition is sponsored by the Birmingham Business Journal and the survey is conducted by Quantum Workplace. Some of the topics on the survey include workplace satisfaction, compensation, career growth and challenge, and company management.
