KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Milbank is pleased to announce the appointment of Katrina (Trina) Henke as chairman of the board. Previously vice chairman of the board, Henke succeeds Warren Weaver, who passed away in January of this year.
Henke, one of Milbank’s third-generation owners, has a long history with the electrical manufacturer. Since 1985, she has held positions in marketing, planning and executive leadership. Henke has served on the Milbank board since 1994, and has served as vice chairman of the board since 2003.
“I’m honored to take on this role at such a pivotal time. With a refreshed focus on Milbank’s primary business, the leadership team is well-positioned to guide the company with continued success,” said Henke.
2017 also marks the 90th business anniversary for Milbank, which continues to thrive as a family-owned company. At a recent national sales meeting in early May, the company hosted more than 100 sales representatives at its headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., where plant tours, 90th anniversary celebrations and strategic meetings and councils took place. Many of the family and board members were present, showing their strong involvement in and commitment to the future of Milbank and the electrical industry.
“We’re excited to have Trina leading our board,” said Brad Skinner, Milbank president. “Her entrepreneurial spirit and deep knowledge of Milbank will serve the board and company well. She has been instrumental in leading overarching initiatives for the past several years and I believe she is the right person to take us to the next level.”
