NAED Appoints New Chief Operations Officer

ST. LOUIS — The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) Board of Directors has appointed Michelle McNamara as Chief Operations Officer. McNamara, who formerly served as senior vice president, will continue to also serve as the executive director of the NAED Education and Research Foundation.

“Michelle has been instrumental to NAED’s growth and success,” said Tom Naber, President and Chief Executive Officer of NAED. “In her new role she will bring an accelerated focus on executing key initiatives, due to her deep knowledge of the industry and proven track record of leadership.”

Since joining the association in 1998, McNamara has served NAED in a number of capacities – from leading efforts to establish a research component of the Foundation and spearheading the creation of an endowment fund – to developing the NAED Learning Center which now trains nearly 15,000 associates each year.

Throughout the years, she has also participated on numerous boards, committees, and task forces to promote the industry.

McNamara earned a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Lindenwood University.
