The National Association of Electrical Distributors is closely monitoring the devastating wildfire situation currently in the Los Angeles area.
The NAED Western Region Conference will proceed as planned for Monday, January 13-Wednesday, January 15.
NAED CEO Wes Smith issued this statement, “Our thoughts are with our members, friends, and family in southern California. All of us have been stunned by the tragic events in and around the Los Angeles region. We’re closely watching the situation and our members’ health, safety and security are our primary concerns.”
The association remains in close contact with the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort, which is approximately 85 miles from the wildfires. To date, there has been no impact in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. We are monitoring air quality and regional transportation and will respond if conditions change.
