NAED Virtual LEAD Conference Focuses on Collaboration

Organizations today are structured far differently than they were 20 years ago. With the average number of distributor branches increasing, and the organizational structure constantly evolving, working together to accomplish initiatives is critical. Organizations that have adopted a team-based structure have seen improvements in organizational performance.

This year’s theme for the NAED Virtual LEAD Conference is Strategic Collaboration, “From Me to We” A Leadership Development Program Competency.

“From Me to We” is forcing leaders to look at themselves and their work and to then think outwardly about how they could take their strengths and amplify someone else’s. Leaders need to be concerned not only with how well they perform, but also with how well their branches, departments, and direct reports perform. By opening themselves up to work with other individuals and teams, they will not only gain perspective on the organization but will also lighten the leadership burden on themselves. Instead of having one strong leader driving every initiative, collaboration and team development allows many individuals to drive successful initiative. After all, 1+1 equals 2. With the right mindset and skillset, collaboration can allow 1+1 to equal 3.
