New this year, NAED introduced 17 college students from across the United States to the electrical distribution industry. The Forum was the perfect opportunity for female students to network with professional women that have chosen the industry for their careers.
These students were able to attend because the following NAED member companies sponsored them:
- Border States
- Crum Electric Supply
- Granite City Electric Supply Company
- Graybar
- Hubbell
- Legrand
- RAB Lighting
- Siemens
- Sonepar
- Southwire
The Forum began on Tuesday, June 23 when Kathy Mazzarella, Graybar Chairman, President and CEO, was recognized as the 2015 NAED Trailblazer Award recipient. Additionally, attendees raised $5,000 to support Girls Inc. of Metro Denver.
Next year’s Women in Industry Forum has been scheduled for June 20-23, 2016 at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra, Fla.
