Omega Pacific Named Minority Distributor of the Year

Los Angeles – Omega Pacific Electrical Supply, Inc., an African American owned electrical and lighting distributor, has been selected 2013 Minority Distributor of the Year by the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic and Business Policy.

The competitive award measures companies using a variety of criteria including financial successes, obstacles and challenges, large contracts awarded, growth, major accomplishments and awards and community involvement and volunteerism.

The Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic and Business Policy works to retain growth, and attract quality business and jobs to the City of Los Angeles. The agency has sponsored the Annual Minority Business Awards program since 1994 to recognize the role that minority entrepreneurs play in building the economy through job creation, products and services and support of local communities.

“We are gratified that the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office has recognized Omega Pacific for its business practices and business culture,” said Todd Lewis, Omega Pacific president. “Our customers are very important to us and we are thankful to be acknowledged for our work in Energy Efficient Lighting. We are truly honored that we can provide an impact within the local community.”

Omega Pacific is one of six companies honored as 2013 Minority Business Award winners. Other recipients included construction, international, green, professional services and technology firms.
