SPARKS, Md. — Rexel Automation Solutions, a division of Rexel USA, Inc., is proud to announce that the Sparks, Maryland Automation Center successfully certified its Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO9001:2015. The scope of this registration and the approved QMS applies to the supply chain provider of solutions, services, and products in the Automation, OEM, and Government market segments.
ISO9001 is a set of international standards and guidance documents for quality management and quality assurance. The standard represents an international consensus on management best practices with the aim of ensuring that the organization can, time and time again, deliver the product or services that meet or exceed the customer’s quality requirements. International Standards are strategic tools and guidelines to help companies tackle some of the most demanding challenges of modern business. They ensure that business operations are as efficient as possible, increase productivity, help companies access new markets, improve quality, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase sales.
To become ISO9001 certified, the branches underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system gap analysis, training and implementation, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances. All of these steps work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformances in the quality management system. After successful and comprehensive audits by DNV, the Sparks branch received its ISO9001:2015 certificate of registration on May 3, 2019.
