Schaedler Yesco Again Makes List for Best Places to Work

Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania, 2017

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. (SYD) is proud to announce that it has placed #18 on the list of Best Places to Work in PA in the large-sized companies category.

This is the seventh year in a row and the eleventh time overall that SYD has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA. The annual award program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.

“Simply making this list is a great honor,” said Schaedler Yesco President, Matt Brnik. “As an 11-time recipient of this designation, we are extremely proud. It’s not a given and we work hard to maintain a culture and work environment where people can grow and prosper. Like many companies, we are facing a large number of retirements over the next few years and this recognition helps us attract the top talent we need to continue the legacy of success that our current and past employees have had over the last 93 years.”

The program is made up of the top 100 companies split and ranked into two groups: 50 medium-sized (25-249 employees) and 50 large-sized companies (250+). Schaedler Yesco placed in the top 50 for the large-sized companies. The 2017 rankings were announced in November.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part of this process was evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.

SYD has 22 locations throughout Pennsylvania.
