Sheff replaces Martin J. Beagen who retired on Jan. 1, 2013, after more than 32 years with the compa

ST. LOUIS — Graybar, a leading distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics services, announced today that Dale R. Sheff has been named Controller, effective November 1, 2013. He replaces Martin J. Beagen who retired on Jan. 1, 2013, after more than 32 years with the company.

Sheff is a 20-year Graybar veteran who brings extensive accounting experience to this assignment. Since joining the company in 1993, he advanced through field accounting roles in Cincinnati, Boston and Dallas. Sheff served for two years as a Business Systems Specialist in Graybar’s IT department, and then was promoted to Senior Accountant at Corporate headquarters. He became Director, Field Accounting Operations in 2005 and took on his previous position as Assistant Controller in 2008. Sheff is a Certified Public Accountant who earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
