WASHINGTON, D.C — In 2015, Shepherd invested in a sister company, Shepherd Electric Supply of Washington D.C., LLC in order to better provide distribution services within the nation’s capital. In the short time since the LLC was created, Shepherd D.C. has grown out of their first home and into a new 24,000 sq. ft. location on the northeast side of Washington D.C., less than four miles from the Capitol.
Shepherd D.C. held an open house event in their new facility on October 3rd. Eighteen different vendors were hosted at the open house, displaying products ranging from safety vests to the latest in LED technology. Over 115 contractors also attended the event, getting a first-hand look at the new location and the range of products Shepherd D.C. provides.
Shepherd D.C. is a registered Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) headquartered in the District of Columbia. CBE certification is provided by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) and provides the company with preferred procurement and contracting opportunities within D.C.
