Following an in-depth transition period with Andros Neocleous, Jérôme Baniol was appointed Sonepar’s Chief Financial Officer effective September 1st, 2025.
“After extensive operational experience in APAC and North America, Jérôme has a deep understanding of Sonepar strategy, processes, and culture. His extensive international experience and extensive knowledge of the electrical distribution market will allow Jerome to support and accelerate Sonepar’s strategy and financial performance” said Philippe Delpech, President and CEO.
Baniol began his career in the steel and plastic B2B distribution at PUM in France.
He then joined Deloitte as a Senior Manager. Following this, he held several senior financial executive roles, including Finance Director at Guilbert Office Depot in the UK, Group Controlling Director and CFO for France and Southern Europe at Rexel, and Group CFO at Vivarte, a large European apparel and footwear retail group.
In 2015, Jerome joined Sonepar as the APAC SVP Finance, based in Hong Kong. By 2019, he had moved to the United States to become the SVP Finance for the North America Region. In January of 2025, he was appointed Sonepar Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Effective September 1st, he is Sonepar Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Executive Committee.
Baniol graduated from NEOMA Business School in 1993 and INSEAD in 2016.
