tED Magazine, NAED 2022 Contest Season Ready To Begin

While we are all dealing with so many outside forces these days, tED magazine decided to simplify the 2022 contest season by having them all happening at the same time. This way, you won’t have to worry about when the call for nominations begins, and, more importantly, the deadline to submit them.

The tED magazine “Best of the Best” Marketing Awards will begin accepting nominations on Monday, January 3. The Early Bird deadline to send in your nominations is February 4. Entries received before that date are $125 per entry. Entries received between February 5 and March 4 will cost $150 per entry, and entries received from March 5 through March 31 are $200. For more than 50 years, the highly competitive Best of the Best Marketing Awards Competition has celebrated the highest quality marketing efforts from both electrical distributors and electrical product suppliers/manufacturers. Throughout the industry, the coveted crystal star award is a symbol of excellence and achievement. In addition to the category awards, Overall Best of the Best awards are given to the top distributor and top supplier. Winners will be notified this summer, and as we have done over the past two years,  tED magazine is asking “Best of the Best” award winners to send a video acceptance speech to be posted at www.tedmag.com. You can get more information about the awards, and after January 3 begin submitting your nominations, at www.tedmag.com/best.

The tED magazine “30 Under 35” Awards will also begin accepting nominations on January 3. There is no fee associated with this program, but your nominations must be completed and submitted before March 31, 2022.

Each year we send out a call in search of the industry’s young “rising stars”—electrical professionals 34 years old or younger who have the initiative, drive, integrity, and creativity to move the industry forward in the decades to come. Nominations come from mentors, managers, and other leaders working in electrical distribution, manufacturing, and related technology and service organizations. Since the program’s start in 2011, hundreds of the industry’s best and brightest have been named a “30 Under 35” honoree. Winners will also be notified this summer, and be honored at the 2022 NAED LEAD Conference. Beginning on January 3, you will find details and the official nomination form at www.tedmag.com/30under35.

If you have questions about your tED magazine “Best of the Best” or “30 Under 35” award nominations, you can contact tED magazine Editor Misty Byers by email at mbyers@naed.org.

NAED’s Trailblazer Award will also begin accepting nominations on Monday, January 3, and will be accepted through March 31. Like the tED magazine “30 Under 35” Awards, there is no fee to nominate someone, and you can nominate more than one person. Each nomination must be separate, and you cannot nominate yourself. Nominees must be employed or have a career in electrical distribution.

NAED’s Women in Industry has helped create an environment that changed how women viewed the potential opportunities they had in the industry—a change that is developing new leaders who can bring their ideas and energy to companies in every segment of the industry. The Women in Industry Trailblazer Award is given to a woman who has had an exceptional career in distribution and has had a positive impact on supporting women in the electrical distribution industry. The award is based on cumulative contributions and will be given at the discretion of the NAED Awards Committee and members of the Women In Industry committee. All nominations must be submitted through the electronic entry system, which you can find at www.tedmag.com/trailblazer. Winners will be notified this spring and will be featured as the cover story in the digital-only edition of tED magazine in the summer of 2022. The winner will also be recognized at the 2022 Women In Industry Forum.
