Welcome to “The Good Stuff,” where we highlight positive news and ways that NAED employees and member companies go above and beyond to give back to their communities! If you have some “Good Stuff” that you would like to share with tED, find out how below.
In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” Emerson employees and supporters raised nearly $40,000 for the American Cancer Society.

ROSEMONT, IL, JUNE 10, 2026 — For the 15th consecutive year, the Chicago Electrical Industry (CEI) has mobilized in the fight against cancer and in 2026, Team Emerson delivered its most powerful performance yet. Fifty-one Emerson employees and supporters laced up, clipped in, and hit the course at the American Cancer Society (ACS) Walk & Roll Chicago, raising $39,014 and counting with donations and matching gifts accepted through the end of July 2026.

The momentum was supercharged by a landmark $25,000 contribution from Lapham-Hickey Steel, a longtime Emerson vendor and valued partner. The Hickey family, integral to Lapham-Hickey’s legacy, directed this transformational gift to ACS in conjunction with CEI, a testament to the deep-rooted culture of generosity that defines this community.
Emerson’s commitment extends beyond the finish line: the Emerson Charitable Trust contributed an additional $10,000 to ACS, bolstering the CEI group fundraising total and reinforcing the company’s institutional dedication to the cause.
Since joining the ACS Walk & Roll in 2012, its second year of CEI participation, Team Emerson has raised a cumulative $142,952.61 for the American Cancer Society. In 2026, CEI is on track to surpass $140,000 raised, a collective milestone that reflects what’s possible when industry comes together with purpose.
Walk. Bike. Run. All of the Above.
Team Emerson participants took on the full spectrum of ACS Walk & Roll events in 2026 — walking, biking, and running — channeling every stride and pedal revolution into research, patient services, and the relentless pursuit of a cancer-free world.
There is still time to make an impact. Donations and matching gifts on behalf of Team Emerson are accepted through July 31, 2026. Support the mission at www.WalkRollChicago.org.
