The Hite Company, a full-line electrical distributor, recently opened a Central Distribution Center adjacent to their corporate offices and branch location in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The 40,000 square foot high cubed facility currently handles order fulfillment, delivery, and stock replenishment for a third of Hite’s 22 locations and will eventually handle these functions for all branch stores once it is fully operational.
“We are very pleased with the opening of our Central Distribution Center which will strongly enhance our operational efficiencies in several areas including maintaining high order fill rates, decreasing duplicate inventory levels, and enhancing our customer service capabilities. This new facility will be a winning solution for Hite, our suppliers, and our diverse customer base,” commented Doug Pepperday, Director of Operations for The Hite Company.
