Turtle & Hughes Appoints New Compliance Officer

LINDEN, N.J. — A long-time Turtle & Hughes employee, Karen Barcellona, has been appointed the company’s Compliance Officer. She will be responsible for ensuring all employees adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

“For close to 100 years, we have built our business by being a trusted partner and advisor to our customers,” said Jayne Millard, Chairman and Co-CEO. “Karen has dedicated almost 35 years to Turtle and has a stellar reputation as an honorable and ethical member of our team. We look forward to her continued contributions as she advances our culture of compliance.”

For the past 25 years, Barcellona has served as Regional Credit Manager and has an extensive understanding of the organization’s operations, as well as its accounting procedures. In addition to her new responsibilities, Barcellona will continue to play a key role in the management of the company’s credit function while working with a recently expanded staff.

Over her long career, Barcellona has accrued a deep knowledge of business and construction law, and accounting including credit, collections and liens. In addition, she is a member of the Turtle & Hughes ESOP Committee and has served as chairperson for the NY/NJ/PA chapter of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) now called Credit2b.
