U.S. Congressman Garbarino Visits New Jersey Wesco Plant

United States Congressman Andrew Garbarino visited a Wesco branch in Hauppauge, New York last week.

Garbarino represents New York’s second district, after being elected to the House of Representatives in 2020. The Congressman serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security and is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and House Ethics Committee. The Congressman also served in the New York State Assembly for four terms.

The Congressman met with Wesco team members who perform a wide range of roles and are an integral part of the electric equipment supply chain. The Wesco team shared how their work contributes to the construction of local infrastructure and how workers from diverse backgrounds can find great career opportunities in the electrical distribution industry.

Congressman Garbarino posted on social media, “I was happy to meet with Wesco’s Hauppauge facility and meet with the employees and leadership who help keep Long Island’s businesses and industries running. Companies like Wesco play an important role in supporting our local economy, strengthening supply chains, and making sure businesses have access to the electrical equipment and materials they need. Thank you to the Wesco team for showing me around and sharing more about the work you’re doing right here on Long Island.”
