PITTSBURGH — WESCO International, Inc. announced the appointment of Laura K. Thompson to its Board of Directors, consistent with WESCO’s long-standing commitment to ongoing Board refreshment. Thompson will also serve as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee upon her appointment, which is effective October 1, 2019.
Thompson served as Executive Vice President of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company until her retirement in March 2019, and from 2013 to 2018 she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She has over 35 years of international business and finance experience, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Finance and Director of Investor Relations. Thompson is also a Director of Parker Hannifin Corporation.
