Winsupply Endorses NEMRA POS Standards

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Winsupply has joined more than 60 manufacturers/brands, national chains, and leading independent distributors in endorsing NEMRA’s POS Minimum Reporting Standards.

While Winsupply local companies purchase much of their material direct from suppliers, and hence manufacturer representatives receive sales credit, Winsupply also serves its local companies through a network of five regional warehouses. The company has provided suppliers with POS information on a monthly basis from these warehouses. It recognizes that as its network grows, the role of regional warehouses may increase and is committed to supporting local manufacturer sales representatives.

According to Eddie Gibbs, Senior VP Vendor Relations, Winsupply, “The success of Winsupply is based upon our local owners and they depend upon their local manufacturer sales representatives. Our commitment is to doing what is right for our local companies and ensuring their local sales representatives are compensated is critical, especially as we further grow and contractors take advantage of our eCommerce capabilities.”

Paul Perry, National Electrical Manager for Winsupply, shared “Having a common POS format will help us in sharing this information with our suppliers while ensuring that customer confidentiality is maintained.  The information will help our manufacturers provide the information that they need to support the reps, who are critical in supporting our local companies. Additionally, one format makes our administrative process much simpler.”

Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, commented “Winsupply is a leading, national distributor in our industry. Their focus on supporting local entrepreneurs is unique and we appreciate their commitment to supporting the local independent manufacturer representatives being appropriately compensated for their efforts in supporting Winsupply companies.  On behalf of our members, we thank Winsupply for their endorsement.”
